recycling water filters
we recycle all major brands of water filter purchased from any supplier
Building on our core philosophy of providing the most eco-friendly water treatment products available on the market today, it was a natural decision to progress this and develop a new area of our business dedicated to the recycling and re-purposing of ALL water filters.
Therefore, we are now able to recycle and re-purpose ALL types of plastic and aluminium water filters using our newly operational recycling facility at our Head Office in Harlow, Essex. We are also able to regenerate the expired resin from within these water filters to be used in future manufacture of new water filters.

the battle against plastic landfill
helping to reduce single-use plastic
WaterCare regenerates all expired resin from their Calcium Treatment Units through collection and after extensive cleaning and regeneration they are able to be used again – saving on landfill and keeping on-costs to a minimum.
WaterCare iX water filters use Insert Refill Technology, which means that the inner media cartridge can be recycled – this is a huge step forward as previously the entire cartridge would be thrown away and sent to landfill where it will take up to 1000 years to bio-degrade.
plant a tree
we plant a mangrove tree for every filter recycled
Support the mission and help the planet. For each filter we recycle, we’re planting a tree with One Tree Planted – making a difference, one filter at a time. Mangroves are well-known for storing 5-10 times more carbon than other trees, which puts them at the frontline of the global climate crisis.
our plastics pledge
caring for the environment
WaterCare’s ongoing plastics policy is to look for ways of replacing non recyclable plastics with recyclable alternatives wherever possible. Since 2016 WaterCare have made great strides by developing products that benefit the environment and will continue to do so into the future.
